Wordulate Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Snarly Owl Games LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Wordulate.

Effective date: July 31, 2026. App: Wordulate. Publisher: Snarly Owl Games LLC. Contact: info@snarlyowl.com.

Who We Are

Wordulate is a mobile word puzzle game published by Snarly Owl Games LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how Snarly Owl Games LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Wordulate.

For the V1.0 soft launch, Wordulate is planned for South Africa and the Philippines. The United States remains in beta or waitlist access unless we announce otherwise.

If you have questions or requests about this policy or your information, contact us at info@snarlyowl.com.

Information We Collect

We design Wordulate to work without a public player profile. For the soft launch, we expect to use Firebase authentication and anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers so players can use the game and keep progress without publishing their name or profile.

We may collect the following categories of information:

When you submit words during gameplay, the app may process selected letters, submitted words, word length, and validation results to run the game. Current telemetry is intended to record summary information, such as word length and result, rather than the submitted word itself. Server-side Daily Puzzle validation may receive submitted candidate words and selected tile IDs so the game can validate and sync the attempt.

Information We Do Not Intend To Collect

Unless we change the app and update this policy, Wordulate does not intend to collect:

In-app purchases, subscriptions, RevenueCat, and payment processing are not part of the immediate soft launch unless added later. If we add purchases, payment information will normally be handled by the app store or payment provider rather than by Snarly Owl Games LLC directly, and this policy should be updated before launch.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

Analytics, Diagnostics, And Crash Reporting

Wordulate expects to use Firebase Auth, Firestore, Google Analytics for Firebase, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config, Google Play Console reporting, and App Store Connect reporting for the soft launch.

These services may help us understand app usage, feature performance, crashes, startup and network performance, app version health, device compatibility, country or region trends, and other diagnostic signals.

Analytics and diagnostics may include anonymous identifiers, authentication identifiers, app interactions, gameplay summary events, app version, build number, platform, timestamps, crash stack traces, device model, operating system version, performance measurements, approximate region, and error messages.

We use this information for app functionality, analytics, diagnostics, security, and quality improvement. We do not use Wordulate analytics to create a public player profile.

Feedback And Support Submissions

If you send feedback or contact support, we collect the information you provide and the technical context needed to understand the issue. This may include your written notes, build number, app version, device or platform details, app mode, level or Daily Puzzle context, and diagnostic information.

Please avoid including sensitive personal information in feedback notes. If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.

Advertising And Monetization

For the immediate soft launch, Wordulate is expected to include AppLovin MAX or related advertising SDKs. Wordulate may show banners, interstitial ads, rewarded ads, or other ad placements. Some placements may be disabled or limited by configuration, region, age settings, consent settings, or product testing needs.

Advertising partners may collect or receive information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, app interactions, ad impressions, ad clicks, ad placement and reward events, approximate location, device information, IP address, consent signals, and other data described in their privacy disclosures. These partners may use this information to show ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, limit ad frequency, provide rewarded ads, and improve advertising services.

Depending on platform rules, region, consent settings, and SDK configuration, advertising may involve "sharing," "sale," or "tracking" as those terms are used by privacy laws or app store rules. On iOS, if AppLovin MAX or another advertising SDK accesses the advertising identifier or links Wordulate data with third-party data for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, Apple App Tracking Transparency permission may be required. We will configure consent, age, region, and platform controls where required.

Data Sharing And Service Providers

We may share information with service providers that help us operate, test, analyze, support, secure, and improve Wordulate. These providers process information for us or provide platform reporting and infrastructure.

Current or planned providers may include:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate security or abuse, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging it for money. Advertising and analytics practices may qualify as "sharing," "sale," or "tracking" under some privacy laws or app store rules. Where required, we will provide applicable notices, consent flows, or opt-out choices.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to operate the game, maintain progress, analyze app health, improve the product, respond to support requests, comply with legal requirements, and protect against abuse.

Typical retention assumptions for review:

Children's Privacy

Wordulate is a word puzzle game for a general audience and is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law to consent to data processing.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child has provided personal information in Wordulate, contact us at info@snarlyowl.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

International Users

Snarly Owl Games LLC may process information in the United States or other countries where we, our infrastructure providers, analytics providers, app stores, or service providers operate.

If you use Wordulate from South Africa, the Philippines, the United States, or another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have privacy laws different from those in your location.

We use service providers and security measures intended to protect information as described in this policy.

Your Choices And Requests

You can choose not to submit optional feedback or support notes. You can reset some locally stored app information by uninstalling or clearing app data, but this may not delete server-side records associated with an anonymous player or install ID.

You may contact us at info@snarlyowl.com to request access, correction, deletion, or other help with information associated with Wordulate. Because Wordulate uses anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers, we may need information from your app or device, such as an install ID, player ID, support code, app version, or device details, to locate the relevant records.

We will respond to requests as required by applicable law. We may retain information when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, or legitimate business records.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. These may include access controls, Firebase and cloud security controls, encryption in transit where supported, least-privilege operations, logging, and review of production data access.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we learn of a security issue that affects players, we will take appropriate steps based on the nature of the issue and applicable requirements.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Wordulate changes. When we make changes, we will update the effective date and post the revised policy where players and app stores can access it.

If we make material changes, such as adding advertising SDKs, in-app purchases, account profiles, new categories of collected data, or new uses of data, we will update this policy and the app store privacy disclosures before or when those changes take effect.
